Rabbit is suppsed to hit 66, 212 and 246. Women are off.
Pretty much hitting it . It's eccelston and brown right behind the pacer at 400.
212 for 880. Uceny moves up there now.
There are A LOT of women in this race. Pretty much single file.

Rabbit gaps the field between 800 and 1k. Uceny is now leading.
At the bell 322 high. 323 flat at bell. Johnson leading.
Johnson, Eccleston are pulling away.
Johnson wins it. Eccleston wins. BOth beat old meet record.
3:53 winning time. Calling it for Merber.
Pretty ghetto stream. Race finished and they never read out the results or even showed the times.
Thanks Rojo.
Are you there tonight?
There is some water on the track which is a good sign. My dad always said people run way faster before or after a storm.
Forys is rabbitting. Around 58 for 440. Alexander and Gregorek are up there. MErber 5th. I don't know what hunter's adidas uniform looks like
Lauren Johnson won in 4:25.04
1:57 at 880.

I gotta agree with you. They just signed off the broadcast without showing the results of either race. Can you imagine paying $20 to watch an NFL game and not getting the results?
They did keep the stream on for a minute or two and i jotted down the top 2 women via the PA system.
425.04 lauren Johnson
425.64 - Eccleston
Brannigan world Paralympic record
3:57.58
Mikey Branigan - 3:57.58. Big PR.
Drew Hunter 3:57.15
MIKEY!!! Holy Shite, a 3:57!!
....and how big of a P.R. was that for Lauren Johnson?!?

So based on that, if I rewind my memory, the guy who I though was Hunter was indeed hunter. I recogized him with his awkward form with 250 to go. H unter made a move up toward the lead as they approached 200 but just as we was moving up, the milers started to kick hard and pulled away.
Hunter's previous PB was 3:57.81i. I geuss this shows he did indeed have Lyme. Branningan's PB was 4:03. What the hell had he been doing all year before this?

The announcers at the end were stressing that this type of race might be the "future of track and field." I hope not.
I actually am willing to cut FloTrack some slack, in that the money I pay does let me see some collegiate races that I wouldn't see otherwise. The camera work and the announcers are usually amateurish, but enthusiastic, and I can often figure out myself who really is leading or who came in second if the video feed is good enough. Even this meet here--is no way I would have ever seen either of these races unless somebody posted it on YouTube.
But still, the video feed was bad, the announcers were completely wrong in both races about who was leading or finishing, and they didn't post the results. I had to go to LetsRun to see them. And then they were hyping Drew Hunter in their promos, but although I glimpsed him surging and then falling back, I had no idea where he finished until I saw the results. Brannigan's place was unnoted, until I saw it on LetsRun.
Anyway, enough griping on my part--its just that I hope if track moves even more to the pay to view model, the production values pick up--otherwise the "future of track and field" will be grim.
Only an hour until they have the tape delayed opening ceremony on T.V. here in the west coast. I'll be looking for the previously identified "hot" flag bearers.

I don't get it...I REALLY don't get it! This fantastic event was given some excellent publicity, and it's so very promising, yet the broadcast was so miserable. Drew Hunter was hyped (by everyone, across the board, as if he is already a 3:50 miler) -- and then I don't think he was mentioned once during the entire race -- because he wasn't at the very front, I guess. The quality of the image was so bad that I couldn't tell where he was after a while, and I'd swear the camera operator was riding the ocean swell with ye olde Sir Walter Raleigh himself! I thought the brewfest begins this evening, camera operator guy or gal!
As I write this, it's something like 40 or 45 minutes since the conclusion of the men's race, and the official site still had not posted results for the men. And I agree -- the bleepin' broadcast gave NO finishing results, men's or women's, except for the winners and maybe second place. Then, after the men's race, it was World Record swift the way they say, "Thank you, America! GOOD NIGHT!!!" without telling us a damn thing about Hunter, or Brannigan, or Gregorek, etc, etc. And the women didn't fare much better.
Hey, Sir Walter people, GIVE US A BETTER PERFORMANCE NEXT YEAR! You got a good thing going. It's fun. It's something we very much want to watch, and cheer on, but get someone to work a camera who knows how to work a camera. Present results ASAP. Happens all the time in other meets, as it is digital data. AND provide deep results VERBALLY, without pulling the plug so effin' quickly. I know this is a small-budget affair, but that's no excuse for some of this caca.
Now, to go look for results around the internet.
Thanks, Rojo, for posting men's results, while I was whining, I guess.
