I didn't really plan my racing season--I just ran a 5k and have another on Aug 7, then a month to get ready for a 10k on Sep 11. I put in a good base phase (about 80mpw) ending at the end of May, when I pretty much immediately started racing (5k, 10k, last weekend's 5k). So, do I rest on my base laurels, should I try to up my mileage right after the 5k (I'm at like 50mpw if no race, less during a race week), up interval and tempo mileage? Opinions welcome!
