WTF, Amerika is a joke. You need to have serious family money ($20 million++) to even have a fighting change. We take home $22,000 / month and are barely getting by.

Ya, it's rough out there. Stay strong and try to keep that head high. Keep working hard and you'll make it one day.
You're failures

I know you're being sarcastic, but you probably live in Kansas or some equally boring / useless dungheap in middle America. Try living on that in NYC / California.
I have to laugh at doughy middle-American letsrunners who think they're balling on 90k / year in Topeka. You are nothing, you will always be trash.

450k is not that bad. Do you invest overseas to avoid all taxes? You need a good invest guy that will help you to avoid paying your fair share of taxes then you might feel better.
If you guys don't believe me, consider this:
Wife and I both went to professional school and have six figures of debt. We each have $2500-$3000 in debt, that's $6000 off the top.
We are in a high COL city and rent a 2 bedroom - $4500 / month
Wife and I each have a car - $800 / month (+ insurance, gas, maintenance - $600/month)
Food and groceries: $800/month
Dining and entertainment: $1400
We're already at $14,000 / month and I haven't even added the miscellaneous charges.
Utilities, internet, cable, etc: $500 / month
401k / retirement: $2000 / month
Clothing, shoes, other shopping: $1500 / month
Gym, personal trainer: $400 / month
So we're at $18,500 / month in expenses already. Add a weekend trip to the Poconos or whatever and we're at $20,000. That gives us $2000 left over every month. That's it.
Put yourself in a diaper, little boi

Agreed, and the people who have done it in the past were better at it, so I'd say 2/10.
I live in Palo Alto. How you like them apples?

You further prove the point that it doesn't matter how much money you make, you're still "broke." This is because you spend every dollar you make on bs items whether you make $1m or $25k.
You SHOULD be living in a house. Stop wasting $4500/m. There's no excuse to be paying rent when you can pay that same amount for a very nice home and build some equity.
Agreed, OP's troll persona is very bad with money.
And his real persona isn't very good at trolling either.
Haha obviously a troll but if not:
I feel truly sorry for you if you don't think you can lead a quality, happy life for less than 400k/year.
I believe the key to life is just being happy with what you have. I know lots of people that make less than 100k combined and are loving life. Get out of your own sour puss head.

I've run 13:55 in trainers. And relaxed, too.
Work to get Trump elected and it will all be great again.
Sheesh, this troll job had been done to death.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
