God forbid it's 82F in July. I mean "normal" July weather is 58F.

jog fest, winning time 29:10
Oregon is the new California
Bunch of sissies, you can get water 25 times on the backstretch to drink or dump over your head.
But all you really have to do is shave your head cleanass bald like Farah and Lagat so it will sweat efficiently with no hair in the way. It's really that simple!
Hair does not effect sweat glands.
Is it legal to have cooling misters covering the entire 400 m track?

Neither do winter coats. That said, I know you were making a *specific* reply.
HAH! They should feel weak. The Paralympic Team Trials are being held this week. In Charlotte, NC, where it will in the 90's the whole time.
I would literally kill for 82F. Its been like 98 heat index 108 for the past month :(
I hate humidity

Extra favorable for Rupp who gutted out the OT marathon in similar conditions?
Came here to post this. This is accurate if it's really going to be 82. It was gonna be a jog fest anyway but now it's literally a D1 jog fest.

Also, if the heat is bad (and the pace now much slower than already expected slow pace) that super favors Rupp or Lagat winning the race.
It was never 82 during the marathon trials. It sounds like a good temperature to pick a team that will be racing in the same temperature next month in Rio.
Everyone except Rupp will go home DEVASTATED! Rupp is heat certified.
The weather forecast I'm seeing shows a high of 80 with full sun, no clouds. Wind at 12 mph also. Not ideal conditions. Definitely favors Rupp and Lagat. Lagat benefits tremendously from anything that makes this a 28 min + race. We all know that. In some ways, even though this will be a jog fest, the bad conditions make it more interesting.
They should be running the 10 at 10 p.m. for both genders unless they think that they are simulating Rio conditions--I doubt that they are thinking about anything like that but only obeying NBC.
Lagat is winning this. Rupp and True to place and show.
And have the broadcast at 1am on the East Coast?! LOL. Good one!

Who really watches the 10,000 anyway, other than us geeks? Not to mention those of us on the west coast are getting it tape delayed.

The NBC tape delay pisses me off. Particularly since it's 103 degrees where I live in central California and I need to get up really really early to get in my long workout Saturday morning. I don't want to stay up until 10 pm...go ahead and call me a wimp...
