I have had good results with the Jaybird Blubuds X.
Sennheiser 686G
Ive had great luck with bose in the past, but I recently bought a pair of Klipsch and am satisfied.
Buy any pair. As long as you have some you will fit into the hobbyjogger category that you so desperately care to be apart of.
The bluebuds have great sound quality but I could never get them to stay in my ears once I started sweating.
Why does anyone run with earphones? Just get a wireless speaker, stop being a selfish recluse, and share you're tunes with the world.
Shure
Professional audio company. Much better sound. Fair prices.

I am actually a Board member at the local YMCA and we had an old guy who would bring a little boombox into the cardio room and plug it into the wall and listen to talk radio. We had to ask him to stop. Of course he complained and a few of the Board members chipped in $3 each and got him some AM/FM headphones from Walgreens. He was happy. This was in 2016, not like 1989.
I was talking about runs in the wild not in confined spaces. The gym at my office has a TV that always has the volume on and it is just loud enough to hear a slight "wah wah wah" in the background so I'm going to start turning it off when I get there.
I see a decent amount of cyclists with wireless speakers around Orlando and appreciate it. The other day I was noodling down the road and heard the into riff to Dead Kennedys "Police Truck" coming from behind. I almost ran into a tree when I turned around to give a salute to the person who had their good taste on display.
