I am a Freshman going on Sophmore in High school and am looking to train really hard over the summer for XC. I don't want a workout for me I was just curious to hear what the hardest track workout you have ever heard of or complete yourself

As a junior last year I was training for a 3200 and ran a threshold 800, followed by 3x1600 at 4:58, 4:59, 5:00 w/ 3 minutes rest, then another 800. It was pretty gross.
I also mentally hate ladder workouts, knowing they're only going to get harder toward the end.
200 @ 800 pace
400@mile
800@ 2 mile
1600@ Threshold
3200 @ Marathon
1600 @Threshold
800@ 2 mile
400@ mile
200 @800
I broke 10 minutes (9:57) three days later.
That's like asking 'What is the biggest number?'
Just take the hardest workout you've ever heard of, and then add an all out 400 meter rep at the end. Harder.

That, plus an all out 400 at the end.
Any workout is really only as hard as you make it. I get annoyed when X-fit people brag about how tough a workout is because any workout can be done to complete exhaustion.
Personally, the hardest track workouts depend on the weather. I don't do above 80 degrees well, and I often have to call it a rep or two shorter than I would like.
Last week I did:
2 miles up
4x200m at mile pace with 200 jog
3 sets of [1000 at 5k pace, 45 sec rest, 400 at mile pace, 30 sec rest, 200 faster than mile pace, 400 jog]
5 miles down
Brutal.
8x5k at 5k pace w/400 all out at the end

To some extent yes but he also said hardest one that has been done.
The one that always comes to mind is Komen's ladder workout
1600-3:53
1200-2:52
800-1:51
400-48 or 49
200-23
Even throwing in workout rounding down, those are some blistering times. There are also the 4x1500 in ~3:45 workouts that stand out as brutual.
Of course there are also the people who talk about doing impossible workouts. I believe it was Sydney Maree who claimed to run 10 miles every day at 4:30-4:50 pace.

I am going to be a senior this year at my highschool. Besides having done runs up to 10 miles, the hardest workout I have every done came my freshman year, actually. We did 8x800 with 2 min rest. I averaged 2:25, and it really sucked. I remember almost collapsing after the last rep, haha.
I did that same workout my junior year and went a little quicker-- it felt much easier. But, I really like intervals. I'd take that over a long run any day (although long runs are very important). Good luck with your season!
