My teams Fresham only 4x800 relay ran a 8:39. I couldn't find any ranking for freshman 4x800 relays online. Does anyone know if this would be competitive with other freshman 4x800's in the country?
Thanks

2:10 average??? Really good for Freshman. What were the splits? That relay team has sub-8 potential by the time you guys are seniors! My freshman team last year ran 9:27.
2:09
2:10
2:12
2:08
Probably not nationally elite. 2:10 average is good for freshman but not great. Good, but not great.

The short and simple is no that is not that good on the national level. Local and maybe state level.
Your top teams teams year in and year out in just about all state larger classes will have a freshmen team running low 8:30's or better.
A 2:10 800 equals about a 4:50-4:55 for the 1600. There are number of school's in just about every state with 4 or more freshmen under 5 for the 1600.
Its not bad but I doubt it would be top 25 for freshmen in the country.
2:10 is a 4:20 1600...

You are stupid.
Thanks for the response. Our team destroyed at the freshman county meet and our team was top 8 in the nation for middle school teams last year. I was just wondering if we held our spot.
freshmen 4x800s arent really a thing tats been kept track of
I ran a 2:07 as a freshmen and finished senior year at a 1:56. However ive known multiple freshmen break 2 (last 3 years my HS team has had a sub 2 freshmen) but the next fastest is only like a 2:10 maybe.
While 2:10 for a Frosh is not a big deal having four on the same team is rare.

Competative... Not as good as other people say. For reference, my school has 2 2:04's a 2:05 and a 2:07
