Dear Rojo and Wejo,
I'd like to respectfully ask that you please make the homepage a photo with Emma Coburn linking to her American Record today at Pre. In my years of reading LetsRun, it's been my understanding that anytime there's a WR, or an American wins a major race or sets an AR, especially a distance record, that person got the homepage.
Yes, Emma Coburn had "set" the AR before. Ya she got third in the race (won in nearly world record time). Sure, maybe it was a soft record. But a byline in the title of an article? I recall that for Jager's 8 flat + fall in Paris he got the homepage. I'm not into making accusations here, but tell me, if Hassan Mead had have gone out and run 12:52 today and lost (15 seconds off the WR compared to Coburn's 12 albeit in a shorter race), would he not have been given the link?
Give Emma Coburn the homepage.
