Started lifting in 2010 with no intention of running. Actually I thought I had potential in running because I had a 42-44" vertical after a few months of olympic lifting.
2011: Started running 40s - around 4.8 hand-timed
2012: Most lifted, ran 40s, nothing over 50 meters
Ever.
2013: Ran a 100m at a regional open meet. 12.1, first time since high school I ran that distance. Bummed at time.
2014: kept lifting heavy, started a serious but somewhat informal running program. Mostly 200-300 meters, some 400m, some 600m, some speed work. Ran a 55.1 at an open meet.
2015: still lifting, running longer and harder. Ran 52, then 51 at regional meets.
2016: in top condition. Ran a 48 last month and hoping to push for 46 by the end of the summer
