I thought that he deserved his own thread.
Huge PB (from 13:29 to 13:13)
Is Mo still the fastest Britt over 5000m?
Does Mo automatically get the selection?

His name alone merits a thread.
Yes, very unfortunate name...
Maybe I should not have made a thread for him. Maybe he would have preferred staying below the Letsrun radar.

Does Mo need to be selected? He is Olympic champion.

No auto invitation at the Olympics for past champions.
Mo has only run a 7:39 this winter (worth 13:15)
He also lost to Heath in XC.
I think that he has to show something to get the auto selection by GBR. They now have a couple of good 5000m runners (Farrell and Butchart).
Congrats, you just butchart his reputation.

BTW: when is Mo running his first 5000? He did run 13:11.77 last year, so he does have the standard, but you would think that he would have to run it a couple of times to win his ticket to Rio. Would only be fair for the other guys.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
