Would they take a freshmen on with these times? Or are they not even interested?
I'm talking about being recruited walk on or even just once you're already in the school. Curious about both.
Thanks

Contact the coach and find out. Those are good times. I'd expect they'd allow a freshman to walk on with those times.
Yep
I think you have a good shot. I've lived in State College most of my life, and I've seen a few local guys with similar times make it onto the roster.
share more info.weekly mileage?other PB's?I think it depends. what's your 400m time?can you run sub-50 seconds?if so, you will be looked at as having a bunch of potential for 800-1500. if you are an aerobic guy with good XC times, you might be seen as having more potential for the 5k and XCIn H.S. i ran 16:15, 4:24 and 1:55 with a 49 relay split and ran D1 college. The first 2 years were a huge struggle. Exhausting and getting crushed by grown men at meets.... but my coach figured I was only running 30 miles a week in H.S. so they saw a ton of growth for me once i was on more mileage
