I am currently a sophomore in high school. I ran 4:20.14 for the 1600 as a freshman last year. I was averaging around 35-40 miles per week when I ran that. This year my mileage is closer to 40-45. I ran a 1:56 800 this year which is 5 seconds better than what I ran as a freshman, as well as a 51 for the 400 (relay split). I was very sick during most of indoors this year and was able to run 4:23 for the full mile.Last week I did a workout that consisted of 6 800s with a 400 active recovery in between each one. I think I averaged around 2:16. There is a very competitive mile race coming up in one week is it possible in the shape that I am in right now to go faster than 4:10 for the mile there?
