Of course, Edwards is damn good. But six seconds is just enough to be enough in a DMR. if it's 3 seconds, you might as well get it behind.

Could Georgetown sweep all three distance relays? They should win the 4x800 on Saturday. The question is whether they can win the 4x1500 tomorrow.
Triple is way easier on the women's side than the men's as you never have to run two races in one day. The year Columbia won the 4 x 800 they had the advantage of facing a tired Michigan team that had run the 4 x mile.
We were wrong to doubt Georgetown in our preview. The Hoyas crushed everyone and Katrina Coogan didn't even have to work hard on the anchor leg (she split around 4:44). OK State second, Nova third, Dartmouth fourth.
Splits for top teams

I feel like the Relays' schedule is kinder to the women than the men. For example, the men have to do their 4x400 heats on Saturday morning and then turn around to run the finals at the end of the Saturday competition, while the women had their 4x400 heats today and race their finals at the end of day Saturday. Then there is distance double mentioned in the quote above.
Also, why don't the women do the 4xmile like the men? Why the 4x1500?

No there is not.
In the girls HS DMR, Kate Murphy of Lake Braddock got the baton 8 seconds back but 4 minutes 37.65 seconds later she was the winner.
That's a pretty sick split. The Washington Post has an article on her run here:

I left out the 6th team . Nova.
Women's 4 x 1500 started a little early
1st leg is over. Top 5 teams are Richmond, Georgetown, Oregon, Indiana and Penn State. They are clear of the field. They said it was 425ish. I'm not sure it was quite that fast.
About 851-2 after two legs. Indiana and Oregon are 10 meters clear.
Halfway athough leg #3. Georgetown has caught up and gone into the lead. They are running Katrina Coogan on the leg. Announcers don't seem to realize it.
Oregon is going with them. Nova is with Indiana in 3rd and 4th about 10 meters back.
Close to 4:20 for Coogan probably. Georgetown and oregon are 10-15 meters clear at start of leg #4. Keklac and LeBlanc.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
