I may be moving to Pittsburgh PA, where is a good area to run there? I see a large park called "North Park" that is...well, north of the city... anyone have experience running there?

I should also add, I am only looking at a max of 45 miles in a week, an honest average would be around 25-30. Running is just exercise and fun for me now, I am not attempting a PR.
Google the Great Allegheny Passage
Frick and Schenley Parks are both great. Lots of dirt trails and hills, and they are pretty close together so you can hit both for long runs
When I was at Pitt I used to do long runs through Schenley Park and out the other side onto Beechwood Blvd, which looped back to Squirrel Hill. From there I went different places depending on the distance I wanted.
I grew up in Pittsburgh, left for college and never went back.
Pittsburgh has 300 cloudy days per year.
In winter, it is often below 32 at night and above 32 during the day.
That equates to "slush". I've never heard that word outside of Pittsburgh except at 7-11 stores.
In summer, it is just as delightful. Hazy, hot and humid.
Commonly 80 degrees and 90% humidiity.
Spring and fall are OK.
North Park was fantastic back in the day, maybe it still is. Bike paths, hilly, quiet roads, trails, deer, wild turkey etc.
Running in Pittsburgh will make you tough or break your soul.
I just moved to Pittsburgh a year ago for work and I've been pretty surprised by the running and social scene in Pittsburgh.
The city is up and coming with a lot of great food and breweries with a large amount of young people moving here.
Running has been fantastic, the city has two great parks integrated into the neighborhoods Frick and Shenley. North and South Park are great for longer runs. It's quite hilly so you will be pretty beat up in the first month of running here
Dicks headquarters is located in the outskirts of the city and they spend a bunch of money putting on local events. The great race and the marathon are really underrated and the Liberty mile is ten times as much fun as the 5th Ave mile, in my experience.
It's a great place to live
I currently go to the University of Pittsburgh and my favorite spots are Schenley Park, the South Side/GAP trail, and Highland Park. Schenley has lots of trails, a synthetic track, and a 1km trail perfect for intervals.
Frick Park has some expansive trails as well. I like to do parts of the Great Race course on easy runs but it can be annoying to wait at intersections. Either way, there is no shortage of places.

There are a few road races I always work into my schedules. The Liberty Mile and EQT 10 Miler are fantastic and the Great Race is truly a special event.
You're really selling it.
We will likely be moving back to Pittsburgh after a decade in Canada (non-frozen parts) and New Zealand. Business reasons.
Best coping strategy?
Also, suggestions as to how not to be shot by hunters while running/MTBing? (Other than buying land and building trails and a pump track in our own yard?... even then, I hear the chances of death by shotgun are not that slim...)
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
