I am 5' 9", 153 lbs, 33 years old. Weekly mileage is between 80 and 100, having built that up gradually over the last couple of years,. My weight will drop to about 150 a few weeks before a goal marathon then back up to 156 or 157 by a few weeks after, then repeat.
I feel like I could lose 8 or 9 lbs to be at an optimum racing weight but I just cannot stop eating. I am constantly hungry. I wake up thinking about food and go to sleep thinking about food. I've cut out almost all alcohol in the last couple of months but that has made me eat even more.
Should I be trying to restrict my calorie intake? Or just keep eating as much relatively healthy food as I want and hope the weight slowly drops off?
