Wow. What a maniac. Surprised this hasn't gotten more attention on this site. I feel so badly for that girl. Anyone have any more information on this?
That's terrible if it played out as reported. It also stinks that while the paper "would not reveal her identity", it does go on to list several very detailed accomplishments about the alleged victim... I hate that for her. Papers are for profit businesses, but where should they draw the line? Poor girl.
Terrible. What a psycho. Makes you wonder how much this happens. One of the coaches at my school got in trouble because he wouldn't stop texting one of his former athletes. He claimed it was a mutual relationship and kept his job for another year until he quit.
If what is alleged is true, i'm straight pissed off just reading it.

If it isn't true, then you should also be pissed off. That's completely unfair to publish such detail without a trial and conviction. If this guy is totally innocent (I didn't see in the article that he admitted guilt?) then he is completely ruined and embarrassed.
The emails pretty much prove that he was a looney tune.

I'm all for innocent until proven guilty, and not Hilary's 'every woman deserves to be believed' (except those that Bill molested) ... but my bets are on that this dude is guilty. He's a first class creep and perv.
Googled the Arizona thrower women from 2012. They are all big strong women. Was he threatening with a weapon?
This is why you don't trust guys with gotees.
I remember seeing in a article he did waive his rights and admitted to assaulting her but I believe that was only in respect to the incident he got caught for. I talked to two of his former athletes and have heard some strange things about him. I wonder if harvey's job is in trouble. No way the head coach did not know about funny business going on.
From the article:
Sounds like a real piece of sh*t

Agreed, I will be pissed off if it turns out the allegations are not true, however I will be slightly less pissed off. Hope this clarifies.
Why did you quote me?
wow, just read it. Must read. this guy is a 100% grade A, POS. period. As far as anyone saying "maybe he's innocent." yeah right. I fully understand that some really lame women make false rape accusations. This isn't one of em. period. Read the article, make note of the facts the cops have already gathered, make note of his admissions, then tell me that he "might" be innocent. Not a chance in hell. He should be being held without bond, IMO.
brojos, I know it doesn't reflect well on our sport but this is much worse than doping, needs to be a front page article, b/c this is bullsh**!

Another story:
http://www.azcentral.com/story/sports/college/ua/2015/05/06/arizona-wildcats-track-coach-threatened-student-with-box-cutter/70905002/Court records showed Carter, who coaches athletes in the throwing sports like the shot put and discus, waived his Miranda Rights when he admitted to the crimes.

This isn't accurate. This is posting of details included in an article of public record, published by the court. While some of this is journalistic enterprise, this is all a matter of public record. It's literally the job of the paper to publish content like this.

Perhaps they would have been more accurate if they said, "that's completely unfair that the law allows these details to be public without a trial and conviction". There are countries where this is the case, and I wish it were the case here. The court of public opinion is too powerful and too quick to judge.
