Let's say you knew the current location and velocity of every subatomic particle at a given point in time. If you had infinite modeling/computing capacity, could you use this knowledge to predict everything that would ever happen after that point in time?
Seems to me that you should be able to. When we call something "random," we are really just saying that we don't know enough to predict the outcome. But nothing is really random. My typing this message is really just a result of a bunch of chemical reactions that one could conceivably predict if they knew enough about everything that is going on inside of my body and every external factor influencing those interactions.
Does this essentially mean that the entire course of history is essentially already decided?
