I think that the FM girls will come on top again, but the LIVERPOOL boys will come up big and surprise everyone.
great oak(ca) 1st and woodlands(tx) 2nd for boys. Fm 1st for girls obviously
I don't see Great Oak winning. Their #5 runner has been different and fluctuating the whole season and they are inexperienced.

The Woodlands has some serious depth. I could definitely see them potentially finishing top 3.
FM for girls
They are definetly experienced, he's probably fluctuated due to the process of training. We'll get a good idea where great oak and Dana hills will perform at nxn, as this weekend is go time for all the teams in the southern section competing. I say great oak for sure top 3, Dana hills I think could take top 3, possibly win considering knowing that their #4-5 will step up, as they do each year, coach butler knows what he's doing.
Contenders: Liverpool, great oak, Dana hills, woodlands, Sandburg
FM Girls
Liverpool boys 4th or lower. NY State was very watered down talent wise this year.
Boys- Champion will come out of Midwest Regional

Recent results @ NXN
2014 - last place
2013 - didn't qualify
2012 - last place
2011 - next to last place
2010 - second to last place
The Woodlands has built a history of underperforming when it comes to NXN the past half decade. They did dominate the Texas State Meet & NXN South Regional, but Texas doesn't have the best competition this year team or individual wise. I think a top 15 finish for the boys from The Woodlands would be a solid day of work.

While I agree they haven't run the best at NXN for quite a while now, I wouldn't say that a top 15 finish from a team that good would be a "solid day of work." This is a Woodlands team that should finish in the top third if not on the podium.
No teams are really standing out to me on the guys side, kind of reminds me of the 2009 season. FM girls are their usual dominant selves, while Saratoga and Great Oak should battle for that second place finish.
Very difficult for CA teams. They hardly run on any XC courses with mud all year. NXN is different terrain than what Southern California is accustomed to.
Destiny Collins seems to be a shadow of her former self due to injuries. The Great Oak girls and boys will both be fortunate to be in the top-5.
Of course, top-5 is amazing!
GO Girls: I would love to have a piece of that 5th place over/under action. The girls have soundly defeated the current milesplit Nationally ranked #4,5,9,14,17 ranked teams in the country and they beat #4 & #5 at Bob Firman Invite without their #2 & #3 runners from last year who are now back and healthy at just the right time. FM will be very difficult to take down but lucky to be in top 5??? No way.
GO Boys: Admittedly a lot of parity in the country. That said, they had a terrible Bob Firman with one of their low sticks having astham problems during the race and lose to the #4 rnaked team by 2 points. A couple key boys have rounded into late season shape and their performances of late have showed. They too have defeated the #5,6,17 ranked teams besides the unfortunate 2 point loss to #4 mentioned above.
The GO girls proved last year that once NXN got rid of the Portland Meadows slosh pit, Cali teams can run just fine. Glendoveer had rain and mud but it was fair and they did just fine in second place with all underclassmen scorers. Arcadia boys have won NXN twice I believe so the Cali boys already broke that seal.

Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
