The only things worse are forcing them to buy cigarettes and booze. There ought to be a tax on things the rich tend to do like working hard, taking care of their families, keeping up their properties, looking for investment opportunities and saving and providing for their future, which would have zero impact on those poor drunk bast@rds.

No one is forced to buy lottery tickets. To the extent that the lottery is a tax, it is a tax on the mathematically illiterate.
I do well for myself, am more than proficient in mathematics and buy one lotto ticket when the pots get big.
Have some simple pleasures and dream a little son. Life is short, a buck a few times a year won't hurt you. Being a backed up know it all can.
