I think I've got this. It doesn't bother me too much during the day, even when running, but it hurts like hell at night when I sleep. Sometimes it wakes me up.
Just wondering if anyone else had ever dealt with it.

Bump, have been dealing with it for months, still seeking a cure.
Ok so after an ultra sound this is what I have.
Most of my pelvic floor just feels sore and is hard to engage. I’m curious if anyone has great advice or ideas for how to help it heal.
I’m avoiding running and just cross training for the next month.
I’m doing normal PT, some foam rolling. Avoiding any activity that hurts.
I had this in both legs when returning to running after a few months off. couldve been due to me gaining almost 20 lbs in my off time and just running hard with that extra weight going from 0 mpw to 30 immediately. I tried wrapping my thighs with gauze and using topical nsaids but nothing worked. After seeing a sports med doctor I was advised to stop running 6 weeks, cross train, and then return to running but only 2 miles at a time, slowly building up mileage about +5 per week. This worked perfectly. went on to have a great season and never had the issue again. one of my more bizarre injuries though since its very uncommon and was a one time injury whereas my other injuries always resurface to some degree.
Mine is mainly in the groin area. Dull ache hard to engage it.
Not painful but seems to just linger.
I’m only about 3 weeks post marathon with very little running mainly cross training.
I’ve been instructed to stretch it/core work/etc.
I’m doing 1 hour of cardio per day nonrunning just low impact.
I went to PT and got dry needling.
They gave me exercises to do and told me not to do a full squat or lunge until it heals also can't do any an exercises except planks and an wheel cause the psoas pulls the adductor.
I'll weigh in with some medical knowledge: How old are you? Is the pain worse on the pubic tubercle (your pubes) or your medial femur (inside of your thigh)? Have you had Xrays done? Is the pain worse when you lay down or do you mean that the pain actually wakes you up out of a sleep? If so, how many hours after you fall asleep does it wake you up and what must you do to get the pain to go away enough that you can get back to sleep?
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
