Well, recently I took the advice of some letsrun posts and dececided to do XC. I recently ran my first 5k in 20:09 after 3 weeks of training. I'm currently 17, 153 lbs, and have been hurt these past two years. Our coach asked us to write 3 goals for the season and one of them was to runa 17:30 5k by the end of the season (approx 8 weeks). Do you think that's realistic. One coach seemed skeptical while another is supportive. I personally thought it would be possible as my aerobic base increases. What do you think? (BTW approx 50 miles a week)
