Because I'm ineligible to run in the fall for my high school, I need to figure out my base training for track which will most likely be outdoor.

Since my off season will be a longer one that usual, should I just lengthen each training period or should I do nothing but easy running until 10 weeks before the start of the season which will be in early Jan.
Btw, I've been in summer track and my season ends in late August.
