Who's accomplishment this summer was more impressive?

If this guy is for real, 50 full ironmans in 50 days in 50 States is probably the greatest endurance feat ever accomplished.
Imagine the logistics involved in something like that!?
The entry fees, on top of nutrition, lodging. Yikes!
The biggest BS is this guy saying he did it for his kids... How much time did he actually spend with his kids being a father over the last year with training.
Don't get me wrong, I am incredibly impressed that his body and mind could endure such a task. His ass must be raw!
Got to actually run with iron cowboy when he came through va! Guys the real deal stormed nasty weather I did the majority of the marathon with this guy. Real cool cat. I must say I like the shift I see more people health conscious
Jurek,
I have a friend who's done an IM and a 50 miler, and said they were comparable in effort
also, I read that the iron cowboy did some of his IM "runs" on an elliptical when his legs felt too tired / sore
The Iron Cowboy is back in the news. Anyone else skeptical?

Jurek won races and set records at established distances.
Iron Cowboy has rarely entered races and is not among the leaders when he does. His only thing is his own made-up stunts. Not to say they aren't impressive, but there is literally no competition.

Skeptical of what? It's very meticulously documented and he has others doing it with him every day (no one doing everything every day).
He takes rest breaks in the swim, drafts the bike, and walks the marathon. All very calculated to get through the 100 days.
He is actually doing what he says he's doing.

Except he didn't. He switched to the elliptical instead of running at the end and did not complete 50 Ironman length triathlons.
This new stunt is different. He is actually doing all three legs. Not by official rules, mind you, he gets IVs (sponsored), drafts, and probably violates other rules, but he is doing what he says he's doing.
There's a guy who did like 20 in a row under a decent time (I forget the details) that is more impressive to me. And there are decatriathletes who do 10 in a row in competitions. Iron Cowboy can't compete with those guys.
The mental discipline to do the same dang thing for 15 hours per day every day* is impressive, but I wouldn't rank him up there among endurance athletes.
*yes, that's something poor workers have done for millennia.
I was skeptical when he first announced it. I have been following every day and it seems legit.
The only things that are a bit of headscratchers for me
-The organization he is raising funds for is super sketchy
-The "tracker" seems to not be working every day. Or most days. But it seems like there's been a crowd of people with him every day for every leg. So I don't think that's an indicator of any shenanigans.
-Apparently he's been taking IVs once or twice a week. But...he's not "racing" anyone so I don't know that I'm mad about that either.
I look at the dude as just a guinea pig for human suffering. Like, how much can the human body take??? Apparently quite a bit.
His wife's patience seems to be every bit as admirable as his ability to withstand pain. Because I think most partners would be like.....gtfo.
I would be more impressed if he supported his family, but we are all free to make choices.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
