What are the main differences in the pegasus 32 and elite 8? I'm torn on which one to get.

Bump
Pegasus - roomier toe box, more cushioning in the heel (Zoom Air), little heavier, softer feel under foot
Elite - Snugger fit, more cushioning in the front of the foot (Zoom Air), little lighter, firmer feel under foot. The shift in the cushioning means the elite has a lower heel-to-toe offet, but who cares about that nonsense.
To paraphrase Soap: "Pegasus for show, Elite for a pro."
they are shoes for different purposes no? show me a pro doing 20+ mile long runs in the elite

I have the Peg 31 and Elite 7 (Same platform as 32's and 8's)
Peg's are much more comfortable than the Elite's but like the other guy said the Zoom Air is under the forefoot. I feel like the Elite forces you to forefoot/midfoot strike. I've run 20+ milers in both.....
I figured the OP was asking about whether to get one or the other. I'm sure most sponsored pro also have Frees, Vomeros, Streaks, all for different purposes.
Tegenkamp mostly runs in the Elites. He probably does some 20+ milers in them. I'm sure there are a dozen or so Kenyans that do long runs in the Elite as well.
Up, I'm curious as well
Peg has the cushioning in the heel while the Elite has the cushioning in the forefoot. It is the same type of cushion, zoom air. If you are a heel striker go for the peg as the elite won't feel good unless you force a forefoot strike. The good news with that is that if you are trying to forefoot strike the Elite is a great shoe to force you to do it. I would just gradually build into it. To me the elite feels like a faster shoe if you would be doing any up tempo running in it while the peg is a nice cruiser. What other specifics are you guys looking for?
How stiff are the elites
Stiffer than the pegs for sure. At first I thought they were a really weird shoe but after I ran in them a few times I really liked them. Maybe just needed to be broken in.
Would using the elites for every run and the pegs for long runs be a good rotation?
Yes that would work. I would instead wear elites on faster days and pegs on slower or more chill days.
