Hello everyone, going to be a sophomore in college next year and it will be my third season of cross country. Last year I ran okay and PR'ed close to 28:30. During the summer I averaged 40 - 45 miles a week with two tempos and a long run. This summer I am en route to averaging 55+ miles per week. Did a short tempo last week for my first one and I ran 5:57 pretty comfortably. Besides that I have just been doing easy runs, long runs, and strides 3x per week. My last seven weeks mileage have been 40, 45, 45, 53, 54, 54, 60. Going to finish 60, 60, 67, 67. Any predictions on what I can run this year if I stay healthy? Is it now appropriate to do one tempo per week? Thank you very much in advance.
