At the Trinidad and Tobago nat'l champs Sunday, Machel Cedenio won the 400m with a 44.29, before being DQ'd for a lane violation.
Usually you see someone take a few steps on the line or barely inside of it, but if you watch the video you see Cedenio (lane 5 ... or at least he started in that lane) completely in lane 4 around the final bend then the entire front stretch, before barely drifting back into lane 5 just at the finish line.
I thought American announcers were bad, but the Trinidad and Tobago announcers don't notice this in spite of 2 up close replays during the duration of this video.

Is this the worst lane violation you have ever seen!? I just wonder what the guy in lane 4 was thinking ... seeing Cedenio running directly in front of him for at least the last 150 metres, haha.
It looks to me like whoever was in lane 4 stopped and stood still right after crossing the line, probably thinking "what the hell just happened!?"
Assuming Cedenio didn't go into lane 4 until the last bend (how it looks to me, but with the angle and bad quality it's hard to tell) he would have ran about 2 metres less than everyone else, correct?
