Hi everyone. About 3.5 months ago, after being in a but for a few weeks due to bad tendonitis in my foot, I was back and running for a few days and then all of a sudden, my IT band on the same leg the boot was on blew up.
I couldn't walk without pain for 3.5 weeks and since then (about 2.5 months later), I still cannot get past a mile without pain. I've done everything...strengthening, stretching, cortisone shot, rest, etc. Nothing has seemed to work and I've been diligent with strengthening as well.
I can do literally everything without pain...squatting, any leg lifting, elliptical, biking, etc, but once I run, the pain comes.
I also tried heel wedges in my shoe, new shoes (neutral, not stability), and I want to be healthy for my XC season this fall as D1 runner.
Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.
