I ran XC 8th and 9th grade and was terrible (20:00 min 5k is my pr) Did not run 10th grade year and have not ran in over a year. XC Season starts in August and I do not want to go to summer workouts ( The Coach said he did not care about me.) I want to show up the first day of practice in August and be so good he has to care.
How should I get back into running?
Also my Achilles bothers me some. How can I strengthen them.
I need a shoe as well I have super flat feet but I mid-foot strike. I am looking for something with cushion for longer runs but is okay for some shorter faster stuff.
