“It was a magical night for me. Doha is a great place for me and with that performance I put out a statement. … That was for him (Usain Bolt). I just wanted to go out and put down a good time.”
-Justin Gatlin
Who does he think he is? He's a cheater and a liar, what message is he supposed to send to Bolt? "Hey, look at me, I cheated and was allowed back to compete and now I'm coming after your gold medal in Rio"? Seriously, that is just absolutely pathetic. The gap in integrity and respect between distance and sprinting is one I can't even begin to measure. To tell the greatest sprinter to ever live, who has never been busted for doping, (and I'm not saying he's clean, but I'm also not saying he's doping, we really don't know), that he should be worried about his position as the world's best because you're gonna take him down via the lasting effects of your god damn cheating and blatant disregard for the rules and regulations that makes this sport the great secular and fair competition that it is? You, Justin Gatlin, are a piece of shit, and deserve a lifetime ban from this sport, because you obviously don't care about fair competition or integrity, all that matters to you is winning, even if you have to cheat to do it. And don't give me the "oh but everyones cheating so its fair" bullshit, there are rules, and if you violate those rules to attain an unfair advantage, then that makes you a cheater, doesn't matter if everyone else did it or not, its the fact that you were prepared to cheat your opponents out of victory because you simply don't give a damn whether or not they earned it or not. Cause for cheaters like Gatlin and Gay, they DONT CARE about fair competition. Those pieces of shit are willing to take advantage of people who play by the rules because they don't understand what it means to be honest. They're children. And there's no place for that kind of behavior in this sport.
And what happens when Gatlin's drugs finally over power Bolt's hard work and honest efforts? Bolt, after years and years of fighting his way to the top, defeat after defeat, workout after workout, just working his way to become the greatest sprinter the world has ever seen, only to be defeated by some scumbag drug cheat. Its only as matter of time until Bolt has no other option but to begin doping in order to match his dishonest competition.
IAAF, what are you waiting for? If you have a room full of ten athletes, all grasping in their hands a chemical or pill that will make them unstoppable, and one of them has already taken it, what do you think the other 9 are going to do? They don't have a choice, if one man (like Gatlin) is doping, and he's beating every clean guy even years after he supposedly 'stopped' doping, you are leaving all other athletes no choice, and its unfair. And I think the biggest pile of shit is the "well we banned them for a while" argument. Seriously, 6 months? A year? "Don't dope or we'll give you a slap on the wrist". I'm sure they're shaking with fear in their million dollar homes, plotting their cycles so they can dodge the occasional drug test from IAAF.
Bottom line is, randomize your drug tests so as not to literally offer additional convenience to someone trying to synchronize their doping cycles with your testing dates, and kick dopers like Gatlin and Gay out of this sport forever, because there's no room for cheating and lying in a sport that relies so heavily on the integrity and honesty of fair competition.
