I am running my first Marathon in a few months and am looking for a pair of flats. I currently wear Saucony Kinavera's for training and love them. I enjoy racing in Nike's for shorter stuff. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

wear the Saucony Kinavera shoes during the race.
+1 for the Kinevaras. Running your first marathon in flats is not smart.
I use the Altra One2. Best lightweight road shoe I have ever run in. Really soft cushioning at a crazy light weight. In fact, it the best shoe I have run in in 30 years period.
I run 3 figure mileage routinely and now use these for 80% of my miles.
The first two replies were right on. For your first marathon, running in the shoe that you do most of your training in is best. The fact that your regular trainer is fairly lightweight is nice since you won't have to second-guess that you may be in too heavy shoes (though even if you ran in something bulky, the answer would be the same).
Good luck!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
