And he beat Fisher too! Maton ran a 3:49 solo last year though so he is the one to beat IMO. Also quite the mack if you check his twitter...
no he didn't lmao can you read? 0/10 troll
fisher 3:46.5 wetzel 3:48
dummy
Any relation to Seth Wetzel from the early/mid 90's? Was a stud at Georgetown.
Just so you guys all know there was no designated rabbit. Hillsdale didn't provide one. I was unhappy with the pace of the race because I was trying to get my kid into NCAAs and Grant Fisher went straight to the front and slowed down to 17 second 100s in which case I took it. It worked out though. He qualified.

Read... Placing is clear.
Once again two amazing Michigan HS milers in Wetzel and Fisher. Great to see them in a competitive race versus having no competition and running on their own.
Looked like no one wanted to take the pace at the beginning and it may have cost the top few spots a second or two overall but who knows.
That was Fisher's first outdoor race and it shows he has great fitness/strength. His razor sharp kick will come as his season progresses and so too will his times.

Clearly Tom Scott stepped off of the track with one lap to go. You/sue he wasn't a rabbit?
Looked like no one wanted to take the lead until you did - if you are Tom Scott.
A HS kid shouldn't want to nor be expected to take the lead early on in a college race where college athletes are trying to make qualifying times IMO.
Was a very good early season race for both "High-Schoolers" in a decent collegiate race. Both will bring their times down as the season progresses, but Wetzel will not beat Fisher or Maton this year, too much time to make up. However, it does show that the 2015 US Jr.s will be much faster than 2014, when Fisher took 2nd at 3:50. Maton, Fisher, Tamango and Wetzel already well below that pace.

Perhaps, but championship races usually involve heats, are strategic, and typically run slower than individual PR's coming into the event.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
