Hello all, I am a senior in high school and I will be walking onto my colleges xc team next year. Unfortunately for me, in march I was diagnosed with a "stress reaction" which put me out for 3 weeks and I thought It would be a good idea to just sit out the rest of track season to preserve myself so I am 100 percent healthy for xc training in summer. I had been running and I just finished my 3rd week back and I ran about 25 miles this week. I am starting to feel a really faint feeling/ache back where my original stress reaction was(left leg about 3ish inches above ankle towards back of leg). Last week the same thing happened, I took a day off and felt fine until now. Should I continue running on it? Will the pain eventually go away? I have started taking calcium and vitamin d supplements to increase bone strength/density in hopes it will heal up my ailment! So if i do take time off, how long?? How fast/long should I be going on easy runs? I really want to be healthy by june! Thanks a lot guys for the responses in advance! I am all by myself here and have no one to ask so all answers are appreciated!
