There are hardly any coaches in US distance that think like this.
Only focus is "making the team".
People can complain about Salazar all they want, but I would argue he is the only coach who sets out a training program that works back from Olympics/Worlds!
Because, numbskull, they are all that do matter. Nothing else is of import. The purity and excellence of their vision is praiseworthy.
