I haven't run in a full week my toe/foot almost feels normal but am apprehensive as i don't want to reinjure and make this week of worth nothing.

You can run on it if it is properly taped. I had a mild case of TT this past year. Took a couple of days off, taped it and jogged until it healed. It took about a week and a half before I could do workouts.
