I am looking for advice on what I should do for my training. I am a freshman distance runner who has been averaging 50km per week. Before March I was doing one tempo/ week and a long run and in March I did one tempo and one interval workout km repeats, mile repeats, 1,2,3,4,5,4,3,2,1 min, etc and a long run. My frist meet is April 15 but districts isn't until mid May, then regionals the following week, with states/provincials the frist week in June. Do I drop the tempo and do 2-3 interval workouts with a long run from here on. Any help will be aprrciated.
