I'm running a 5k on the roads this weekend. I'm a junior in high school and I feel like if I wear trainers I'll go slowly. I'm missing a track meet for this vacation where the race is so I figured I'd run a race while I'm there. My friends said to just wear my trainers but I want to set a big pr because I'm in better shape right now than I was during xc. I was think of just taking the actual spikes out of my xc/track spikes. Would that work? Would I get injured?
