Just wondering what pace I should go out in for the mile at an upcoming meet. The meet is in two weeks and is the first one of the year. Last week I had a mile repeat workout and my splits were as follows with 5 minutes between reps:
1) 5:04
2) 4:57
3) 5:06
4) 5:00
During the workout it was fairly windy and cold out which made running the back 200 a drag and it was difficult making my splits. I was also wearing leggings, long sleeve t-shirt, hat and gloves if that makes any difference. Just wondering what I would be capable of all out if its not cold/windy and I'm wearing my uniform. I was going to shoot for a 4:48 with even splits. What do you think?
