Why do right wing wack jobs have to use hyperbole to try a make point where none exists ? Read the article. The students who requested this are in the Black Student Union. Blacks are 3% of the student population and a small subset of those belong to the Black Student Union. The student body as a whole does not want this, just a very small subset of the black enrollment. It will never happen. Its just a political stunt by the Black Student Union, and you took the bait hook, line, and sinker. But of course Fox News would try and make an issue of this, when there is no issue.

You're using hyperbole to try and make a point where none exists yourself. Everything in the OP is factually correct and I don't think it's misleading and hyperbolic in any way. As for the rest of the thread, I think it's quite reasonable for people to feel dismayed and indignant that the Black Student Union considers this the least bit appropriate.

Since when is fact hyperbole ? OP made it sound like Cal students were for this. Only a very small sub-set of black students at Cal want this. Why get all riled up over something that is not going to happen ? Who cares what a few black students want that doesn't even represent the majority of black students on campus - who in total comprise only 3% of the student body ? I see the point sailed far over your head. Not surprising. The OP tried to paint the entire student body as wanting this, and never mentioned it was a fringe group. He never mentioned that is was a black group. Instead he tried to insinuate that the student body as a whole supports this. They don't. Its never going to happen. But hey, if you want to get all riled up over comments by fringe groups, you have a stressful life ahead of you. This is how Fox News survives, by making people like you foam at the mouth over nothing.

Executing a cop is an act of bravery. Every cop is a criminal. If we executed all cops, the crime rate would plummet.

Bullet for bullet, you'd maximize crime prevention by executing a different subset of the population. Hands up, keep firing.

Cops are public property. You can't "kill" a cop any more than you could kill a parking meter or a streetlight. A person who destroys a cop could be considered a vandal at worst.

All the OP said was "UC Berkeley students want building named for cop killer" which is entirely true and not misleading at all. Did you go into the thread thinking that every student wanted to rename the building?
