Did its bluetooth work? Were you able to download the data to your phone and see how active it was?
Funny how we can find 5 teeth on a portion of jaw and make assumptions about an animal that until recently we didn't know existed. Especially when you look at the huge differences in present homosapian's size, shape, diet etc...
Are you trying to say, Lagat didn't evolve from Shaq?

Even if we didn't have a single fossil, the evidence for evolution would be incontrovertible.
The problem, to the degree there is one, stems from "evolution" actually meaning a pair of things. There's
1. The fact of evolution: species certainly change/differentiate over time. But there's also
2. The theory of evolution, which tries to explain the fact(s). Naturally, like any scientific theory, it is open to modification; to paraphrase Keynes (allegedly), when the data change, the theory changes.
Why is it that there are no sub-species or recent splits of our species?

Why does there have to be?
Cro Magnon man could quite easily be viewed as a subspecies.
If Globalization had not happened humans were probably on the verge of splitting into distinct subspecies.
Many could argue that they in fact did.

Wow I had my doubts about evolution after al the evidence about geology, sedimentary layers, carbon dating, the entire fossil record, taxonomy, genetics, etc. But this measly jaw bone * totally convinced me! What a revelation my qualms of 35 years, my lifelong angst, has been settled and relieved. I feel like new man! Me eat some instant noodle soup!
*(whose scientific value was really more particular)

I'm completely in the pro-science camp and even I have this question about fossils.
God put that jaw bone there to help you further understand evolution which he set in motion at the beginning of the universe.
who cares, just show me the weasel riding the woodpecker

If that is/were in fact the case, it would dwarf global warming as a political controversy.

Are you sure Satan didn't put it there to trick us?

It does, it's called racism.

...and don't forget ability to spell!
Logic proves evolution is real. If you believe genetics are heritable, clearly traits that support reproduction will be more present in future generations than traits that do not.
BINGO!!!
Libs always change their belief system but Christians (not catholics) don't and usually turn out to be right.
Hi, I believe in the evidence supporting evolution and am a devout Christian. I find it humorous people think the two are mutually exclusive.
If we came from monkeys then why do Asians have slanted eyes? Monkeys don't. Did they evolve later? Didn't we come from monkeys?
Where did the evolution stop?
How can scientist determine 2.8 million years when they can get dates wrong as close as a 1,000 years? Seriously? A million years? A half a million years? One hundred thousand years? Fifty thousand?.... A century?
I like how you science guys are always changing your minds. Global warming, no wait, climate change.... what next?
