I messed up my achilles in late December. Didn't rehab it too aggressively the first two weeks as I thought it would go away on its own. It didn't, so then I started stretching it a ton, icing, and doing a lot of eccentric calf raises. I've been doing all that pretty faithfully the past six weeks, but it still feels like crap, and I definitely cannot run. It feels almost as bad as it did six weeks ago. What am I doing wrong? The pain started after a long run. It wasn't some traumatic incident or anything. Should I see a professional? Give it more time?
