hahaha boom roasted
car, hot water, internet, phone, TV
Cannot live without hot water.
Can't live without internet.
I have gone long periods without:
Car
TV
Hot water in a tropical climate
I will use internet as phone
1 TV - I wouldn't own one if I could afford it. Streaming shows is better, especially if you can hook your computer to a tv screen.
2 car - I have one but would easily take money for it. The hassle is the only barrier to selling it atm.
3 internet - would suuuuuuuuuck
4 phone - this would suck, but I guess you could have an iPod and use wifi
5 hot water - jesus christ I live above the 45th parallel
Hate to give up?
Hot water - essential
Internet - pretty important
Car - I could bike and use public transport
Phone - email, skype & laptop would do
TV - easy to give up
Hot water. I lived without in the winter months back in college days, and probably took 2 showers that winter in the house. I would bike to the gym to take a hot shower with the old guys.
1) No one ever calls/texts me
2) Only use the internet to pay bills and go on LRC. Would be easy to go back to paper bills and I really wouldn't miss the internet.
3) Hot Water - I live in the frigid north. I could deal with the bathing thing but would I lose out on cooking as well? I mean, would I be allowed to heat water on the stove to make pasta, rice, eggs, soup, etc? If I can't cook than I'm not giving up hot water.
4) Don't watch TV
5) Don't have a car.
Back in college, my dorm lost power for two weeks in January. No lights, no TV, no internet, no hot water. Taking a cold shower in deep darkness during frigid temperatures is awful, even for 30 seconds. I was alive during the pre-internet/cell phone era, so I could live without them. TV, don't care. Car is very dependant on your living area. In a city, no big deal.
Hot Water

Did not look at link just from OP question
Agree the interconnection of nutrition and hot water is huge. Asking to give up using hot water to bath or use on your body it's way different than not being able to boil water for food or to turn water into mechanical energy/work. No steam generation for engines and generating power you would not have tv,phone, internetor autos to give up.
to the posters who say it's easy to give up TV I'll watch it on the computer
