I have to make a physics project that shows mechanic, potential, and kinetic energy. I was thinking a potato cannon or a catapult. Any ideas? Has anyone done any cool physics projects before?

Build a car.
Ah good idea. But If I'm going to build a car why not just build a tank instead
Have fun getting expelled from school for bringing a potato cannon.
I recommended the care for ease of construction. But you are correct in recommending the tank as the more complete solution.
go to the dollar store and buy a mousetrap. Call it done.
you are most welcome.
You were explicitly told not to seek online help. Son, you just failed this class. See you next year.
Mr. physics instructor,
Please look around at the other threads on here. After reading 10 of them from beginning to end, if you think asking here can possibly help his grade, you have much bigger problems than his cheating. Sort of like the Colts...
Use yourself as a runner.
The mechanics of running depend on third class levers running on the joints of your body, including the hips, the knees, and the ankles.
Kinetic energy occurs as you push off the ground and actually move over it.
Potential Energy is stored up when you rise above the ground, no matter how slight, and is measured by mgh = mass of your body x gravitational acceleration of the earth x the height that your centre of gravity has risen from that at stance phase.
Elastic energy is stored when you land, in the tendons of the archilles, the patella, the hamstrings, and the glutes.

Pole vault
I have heard very little about this projects. And I cannot evaluate the potential properly. I need to study it in more detail. I am from Spain, https://worldcams.tv/spain/lanzarote/airport Airport Webcam live. It looks like this program already works well in the USA. Possibly it can be introduced in other countries as well. So it is time to get more information about it. If you have resources to start with, please share with me.
