I've recently come to the realization that making friends makes me happy. I like talking to others and helping them with any problems they have. This is new to me, as I've been an introvert for much of my childhood.
So, I had a flip phone until a few months ago, and now have a smart phone i pay for myself. So, the only forms of social media I have are snapchat, and my phone. However, I've noticed that, going to a single sex school, I haven't met all that many friends from the opposite sex, at least not that i talk to regularly. My core friend group is basically the same, and many of them are more awkward than me, especially around those of the opposite sex.
To be honest, I'm told pretty often by strangers that i'm attractive but I've been unable to make lasting friends/keep contact with people I don't go to school with. I feel that making a twitter/facebook/instagram now is just a little too late to be honest. Do people agree or disagree? Anyone have any tips? For reference I will go D1 for track and do very well for myself academically.
