You idiot.

Ummm...
1) Education.
2) Life experience.
Look kid, groups of people who evolved in the same region for tens of thousands of years ARE genetically different whether you want to call it "race" or not. Black West Africans generally share certain characteristics. Same thing with North American Inuits, Native Australians, and Swedish women.
Never happened that way. HGP has proven that humans criss crossed the continents and seas 1,000,000's of times over the past 100,000 years of human exisitance. Going back and forth from Eurasia to N/S America, Africa, Oceania, etc. Environment changes external attribute values as people transition geographic parallels. But we are ALL the same singular human race, period, ONE RACE, no more, no less.grow up wrote:

Why do trolls still ask inane questions?
Take a Hum Geo class you idiot wrote:

And that's what makes us different races.
You see the same thing in many other species that have cosmopolitan distribution or at least radically different environments that they are capable of surviving in.
Wolves, Leopards, Tigers etc.
There is nothing wrong with it either.
There's only 2 distinct races; white and then everyone else.

Yeah, thanks, I was waiting for someone to make the call!
Nevertheless, I'm giving 5/10 for this one. Simple hook, with a couple of barbs (the "over 30" is a wonderful touch, and the "distinct" should be good for endless arguing about definitions).
I'm keeping an eye on this one.
Since you're exposing your prejudices by engaging in age discrimination (thinking "people over 30" see things a certain way), I will note that I see it the other way. I see that at a lot of colleges student form "Asian Students' Association," "Black Students' Association," "Hispanic Student Association" etc. Are these not largely perceived as "race based"? By contrast, in the largely over-30 work world I do not see employees organizing into such groups, nor do I see it in residential communities among home owners ("Black people of Culver City", etc). Why do young college kids feel the need?
What do you based your observations on?

I agree.
And there is only one breed of dog. Dog breeds are a social construct.
Race is used by people to draw distinctions among people, so there are multiple races of humans.
Problem is, there is no consensus of scientific distinction to match how races are defined.
So they get defined mostly be geographical origin but really it's about skin color and hair type.
The 15th amendment prohibits the denial of the right to vote based on race.
If there weren't perceived different races than this amendment would not be necessary.
I conclude that there exist many distinct subspecies or "races" of humans based on my own independ judgement of the facts that I have observed, which are that groups of people whose ancestors originate from certain geographic areas (i.e. Africa, Europe, Asia, etc.) have distinct traits in common that clearly distinguish them from members of all other groups. Perhaps what separates me from others who believe differently is that I look at facts at all instead of caving to social pressure.
For race to exist biologically it necessarily means that there would have to multiple subspecies, which there are not. We are one race, Homo Sapiens Sapiens.
What we commonly refer to as race is a social construct of a group of people's shared biological and geographical origin (there are other factors, but these are the ones that we in West emphasize. It's not only based on skin color, but depending on where and when you are in the world, other physical features. We could collectively agree that hanging/non-hanging earlobes determine race-it's all entirely arbitrary.
Now, Ethnicity is a social construct of groups of people who identify with each other based on a shared history, culture, language, etc. So, for instance, the Kalenjin are an ethnic group, but their race would be Black--at least to us.
The world is flat.
The sun orbits the earth.
The moon is made of green cheese.
There are multiple races of human beings.
God is real and he loves you.
ObamaCare was a sincere, and in fact, spectacularly successful attemp to lower the cost of healthcare.
Race has no biological reality.
Ok fine.
There is only one race of humans. There is only one race of humans. There is only one race of humans.
What do you want now? Huh? What do you want?
I wrote it 3 times, so now what? Will Black West Africans suddenly become Eskimos. POOF! Must be true.
The average IQ is 100. Roughly half the people are below average intelligence. Around 40% are idiots. There will always be those that will refuse to believe something regardless of the amount of sound logic and facts in support of it.
And women are not a different race, they're from a different planet.
