Why would ANYONE want to put butter and coconut oil into an aero pressed cup of Kona bean coffee?! Straight delicious.

It's entertaining knowing that the Bulletproof guy is selling his schtick when behind the scenes he's on testosterone and narcolepsy drugs.

Because it's f$#@ awesome. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go puff on my free trade organic tobacco cig.
I tried some coconut oil in my coffee yesterday. I usually use sugar and 1/2 and 1/2. It was actually pretty tasty. i still added some sugar but didn't need the cream.
you're sitting on your mobile device? in your bed? TMI, freak.

interesting that Magness - a guru of science - pointedly refrains from using any science to refute bulletproof boy.
So it's a battle of opinion between BB & Magness..

I think that was the point to be made.
It's not even an argument over whether the butter coffee works or matters, it's an argument that it's false advertising based on drug use.
Bulletproof coffee is great for you. It tastes good, has healthy fats, omega acids. It's great for your joints and tendons and ligaments. Bulletproof coffee also has plenty of minerals and vitamins.

Yeah, but people like to take evidence like that and run with it like a mongoloid on mooseberries. They read that saturated fat might not be that bad for you and all of the sudden their diet consists of nothing but butter, eggs, and bacon. MODERATION MODERATION MODERATION you f*cking fad dieting fupa-fappers.
I agree with you, but why is it when I say basically the same thing, some people on here go bananas feel mortally insulted?
And FW's "more and more evidence" deal.... Not true. Yes, excess sugar is bad, of course, yes high TGs not good, but high ldl and total cholesterol, which occur with high sat fat diets, are certainly still, if not more than ever, considered MAJOR risk factors for CVD. This an is an undeniable fact.
Ignoring this fact, as many in the low carb/paleo camp do, is not advisable. Ignorance is bliss...until your dead.

That makes sense that it's the sugar rather than the fat. A bit off subject, but what is trans fat? What makes that different from saturated fat? They both clog your arteries, correct?
I'll let you google trans fat. However ill answer your next questions: both sat fat and trans fat raise your ldl blood cholesterol levels, which despite protestations from certain people, is still considered a major risk factor for CVD. But sat fat raises hdl (the "good" cholesterol) while trans can lower it. So....this is why trans fats got so universally slammed. However, 2 things: hdl is not as protective as once thought, and some studies did not show trans to be much worse for hdl anyway. So...... Trans fat might not be much worse than sat fat. But while everyone demonizes trans, there is an entire movement to resurrect sat fat is Not only a "good fat" but the BEST fat. Strange.

When you know the guy stumping for Bullet Proof coffee is taking PEDS yet claiming his gains are due to the coffee, do you really need a lot of hard science??
