Baker University (Interim Coach)

Baldwin Wallace University (Coach retiring)

Carnegie Mellon University (Coach retiring)

Dakota Wesleyan University (Interim Coach)

Marietta College (Interim Coach)

Mary Washington University (Coach retiring)

SUNY Geneseo (Coach retiring)

Look for Miami-Ohio to hire from within. A friend of mine applied for that job and was told that they pretty much have their person for the job.

Heard a rumor that Clarion was the leading candidate for Eastern Washington. But they are strongly looking at one other candidate. I don't know when a decision will be made.

The Baldwin Wallace job could go to one of a couple alumni operating successful programs in the state. Could be a really good job. Program was top notch for a long time.

I would think Coach Schmuhl from Case would be the leading candidate for BW as he was an assistant and national meet director for a few years before taking the head track coach job at Case

Looks like Starion College is looking for a part time assistant coach for track and field. It looks like they need a distance coach to help out the head coach. This is a good job for a young coach who wants to work his way up.

If you think you Schmul would get the job over Kris Boey at OWU, you are quite mistaken. Don't have any idea if Boey wants the job, he's got a GREAT program going at Wesleyan, but I'd imagine if he wants it, he gets it.

Time Providence had a female AC. I can think of a few candidates.........

So is Eastern Washington even a real thing? Haven't seen an advertisement, not that it would mean anything. I know how these things go, candidate is selected/finalized first, then the advertisement comes out. They have been pretty tight lipped about what went down. Wish we knew something. It's nice to see/get an insight as to how different administrations deal with problems.

The people that hire at these places do not always go with the best candidate. A lot of times they get fooled and go with the smoothest talker or the flashiest female black. Its not an exact science. I wouldn't be surprised if it was Schmul. And I would be happy with Boey! Six of one, half a dozen of another.

I heard Starion College is going to choose between Thompson and Berry. Those close to the program think Thompson has the upper hand. but like some others have said on this thread, you never know who the administration wonks will choose.

Eastern Washington will make a decision by January 1st. Look for info to come out soon after.

Grad assistant position going to open up in the Big 10 starting in January. Someone is leaving to one of the open positions listed. Not sure about the details, but will let you know as soon as I find out. The domino's start to fall.
