I don't know why but to me the world 24hour cycling record seems very weak compared to the running record.
Running: Yiannis Kouros (Greece) - 303.506km
v
Cycling: Andy Wilkinson - 871km
Which is more impressive?

I'd suspect the cycling record has been tired more often. I would think it's pretty good. It's not fun sitting in an aero position for one hour, let alone 24 of them. The cycling one looks like it's 22.5 mph, and that's fairly solid.
The running one is 7:38, and actually that seems pretty good too. Guess it comes down to what the terrain was like for either one of them.
One thing is for certain, both are way beyond my ability. I could do 22.5 for probably 5 hours. I've done centuries around that pace before. The running one, maybe just 4 hours.
Race Across America is pretty cool, the top guys do it in like 7 days. Jure Robin, who won the race 4 or 5 times, also held the 24 hour record at one point. Sadly he's dead now, no thanks to a car. I "met" him at time station 44 during one of his RAAM victories. He was a zombie at the time.
