I'm 24, woman, running about 60-65 miles a week, base mileage with a weekly tempo run and strides every other day.
I am doing core every other day (the days I don't do strides) and I want to improve my arm swing, mostly driving my elbow back, verses "out". I do bicep curls (20 #, 3x12 each arm) and behind my head dips (for triceps), but my question was, would it help to do the arm swing I hope to achieve, but with weights (like 5 or 10 pounds), would this one strengthen my arms, but also create a bit of muscle memory, for when I'm running? Is there any benefit to doing this? Is there any harm?
