Wow! Nice price. For the same Adidas Energy Boost 2? Even though I have a great pair of Supernova Glide 6s with Boost, and even though I don't really care for the Techfit material, I'd grab a pair OR TWO for 75 dollars.
That's a bummer that the Boost 2 is tanking... to thin in the forefoot. My buddies at RunningWarehouse say they bought too much inventory and it's not turning. They really messed it up.

Seriously? It appears to have more Boost material in the forefoot than any of the other actual running shoe Boost line (besides the fashion comfort Climachill Boost and Pure Boost). More so than the Supernova Glides I have, as well as the Boston Boost, Adizero Boost, etc.
I had both - energy boost 1 and 2 - there is something very weird and bad about the energy 2 - I can barely run in it. The stack under the heel feels way too high.
I love the energy boost 1s and the bostons and the adios - adidas really messed up something in the energy 2.
not true and you wouldn't know.

"too thin in the forefoot" may actually be referring to them running somewhat narrow in the toe-box?
Fixed in the ESM update.

Ah, yes. You may be right. If that's what it refers to, I get it, because I like a wider toe box myself. That's why I went for the Supernova Glides.

ESM stands for Engineered Stretch Measures?
"When we first introduced Energy Boost, that was our first shoe that introduced Techfit into footwear. It's essentially the four-way stretch material with these bands of polyurethane to give tension and support where you need it. But at the time, it was a new fit system. Generally in running you talk about, "Give me a thumbs width to the end of the shoe," and you usually have room inside the shoe between the top of your toes or your foot and the top of the shoe, there’s usually a gap that is under the guides of over time when you run more your feet swell, etc. But we took the tact of no, these shoes should fit like a sock." - See more at:

Is BOOOOOST the Performance Marketing GAME CHANGER?!?
Do you see this as the future of running technology?
"Yes, I think without a shadow of a doubt this is – I’m just so happy that it's ours, but we as an industry have been searching for something like this for 30 odd years. We are finding every day these positive byproducts of the technology that goes beyond what it was originally intended for, which was how to create a platform that cushions and springs at the same time - that’s the holy grail."

Are they starting to cause injuries and adidas is cutting their losses by heavily promoting, or did they just not do as well as their predecessors?
The guys at my run shop RA'd them a while a go, complete disaster.
