In races where all awards are based on gun time, it is the responsibility of the runner who cares about his fair place in his or her age-group to move as close to the actual starting line as possible. If you have to sneak into corrals, do your best not to get caught. Remember that sometimes elites don't pay to be in the race and that you do. You're entitled to the same thing for your money as them. Elbowing and light shoving as you jockey for a closer spot is allowed. Now go get em.
